Allied Projects role in the Rockingham PCYC Project is expanded below:

Allied Project's role

The Rockingham PCYC centre had ceilings collapsed in multiple areas of the building due to extensive roof leaks to the old section of the building. Approximately 50% of the roofing was replaced with the remaining roof areas made good to rectify all leaks. Ceilings were replaced in the ablutions, storerooms and front activity room.

The asbestos in the eaves was removed and new eaves constructed to the perimeter of the old section of the building.

A compliant disabled toilet was constructed from a converted storeroom and the existing male and female toilets were completely refurbished with new sanitary fixtures, fittings, tiling and compact laminate partitioning.

The existing domestic kitchen was refurbished to be a compliant commercial kitchen including stainless steel fit out and external grease trap.

The external areas were made good with new paving and remediated paving to multiple areas along with landscaping and design and install of an extensive pitched patio under cover area.

New compliant electrical distribution board was designed and installed along with a building wide security and CCTV security system and replacement of all light fittings with LED type lights.

Treat and paint of the entire building was completed along with new floor covering throughout including floor sanding and varnish to the gym floor and extensive areas of hardwood floor to the old section of the building.

The total cost of the refurbishment work was completed for just over $1m. The construction commenced in May 2016 and an opening ceremony was undertaken in March 2017.
