Client Requirements
The $32.1m Charles Street Bus Bridge was a smart transport initiative that aimed to reduce travel times by alleviating traffic congestion along Fitzgerald Street and improving reliability for Transperth passengers. About 16,000 passengers a day travel over the bridge and busway.
Allied Project’s Role
Allied Projects undertook Project Management services for the $32.1m Charles Street and Bus Way Project in Perth Allied Projects performed the role of the client’s Project Manager for this Design and Construct contract under the Project Management Panel agreement between Main Roads WA and Allied Projects. Our Project Manager managed a Main Roads team of seven people to oversee the delivery of this complex urban transport project on behalf of the client. Allied Projects Project Manager reported directly to the Main Roads Project Director and worked closely with the principal civil contractor employing a partnering style approach to ensure effective and successful delivery of this public project.
